April's Club

Let me start by saying I should be fired. I don't know what happens each month, but I have every intention of coming home and updating the blog(at least by Monday) and every time I come home, I am greeted with "I need to go here" or" Mom so and so did this", or the tornado that just went through my house while I was gone. Then I think ok I will do the blog tomorrow (Sunday) and then the next thing I know I have a million things added to my calendar each day and it has been 2 weeks since club. Like I said I should be fired! With that said let's get on with why we are really here.


Since I know several of you want the recipe for the dip I made I thought we would start with that first. I am not sure where this came from as my sister sent it to me so I can't give credit where credit is due.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

1 c. ranch dressing

1 c. salsa(I put mine through the blender because I don't like chunky salsa)

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 c. shredded cheddar, Monterey jack, or Colby jack

2 c. canned chicken, drained or cooked diced chicken

tortilla chips for dipping

In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese.  Mix cream cheese with the rest of the ingredients.  Stir well.  Transfer mixture to crock pot and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes (or until hot).  Or spoon mixture into greased 9x11 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes (or until hot)

Serve with chips or crackers. 

I doubled mine but only used one can of chicken(from costco). Also I later found out that it was really yummy cold and it gave it a different taste.

How cute are these rubber gloves? They are so cute they almost(notice how I said almost) make me want to wash dishes. The idea came from THIS BLOG which has a tutorial for you.

This apron design on the towel was inspired by THIS quilt pattern.

 Ilia made this fun black and white quilt

 Niva made this fun blanket and matching burb cloth using the lindy lamb design from Embroidery Library

 She also made these fun in the hoop marshmallow bunnies from Embroidery Garden they come in 4 different sizes

 Carol also made the in the hoop bunnies. The littlest bunny fits inside an Easter Egg.

 Shelly digitized and is sharing with us this in the hoop candy bar cover.

 Tina made the quilt block of the month block.

 Alice made a reversible quilt block that is a reverse applique.

Here are some paperclip book marks I made using the free designs from Embroidery Garden's yahoo group, unfortunately you can no longer get the flowers but you can get the birdie paperclip embellishment free from their facebook site HERE but hurry, because I don't know how much longer it will be there.
